We value the place of rainbow families in our community

HCOS provides services to support LGBTQIA+ people and families in the Hawkesbury, including:

Events

Our events are designed to support and engage LGBTQIA+ members of the Hawkesbury community, with the IDAHOBIT night a highlight of the HCOS calendar. The events feature celebrity hosts, trivia and entertainment, gifts, prizes and more. We run activities for Wear It Purple Day in high schools, facilitated by a teacher from the LGBTQIA+ community. We also work with ACON and other queer community organisations.

Support for families

We know LGBTQIA+ families can use the same support as any other in times of stress, so please see our Family Support (which may include casework, counselling and referrals), Youth Programs, Parent Programs and contact us if they could be of benefit to you. HCOS offers welcoming, safe spaces for all kinds of family.
